vc1.jpgSpring School Violin Camp is a warm, welcoming place for young violin players. Beginners to the advanced instrumentalists benefit from the intensive training that includes a well rounded schedule of technique classes, arts and crafts and exercise for the body.

Session 1 – June 16-20,
Composer of the week is MOZART
Session 2 – June 23-27,
Composer of the week is HANDEL
Session 3 – June 30 – July 4,
Composer of the week is DVORAK

Camp is held at the Spring School, 67 North Summit Street, Tenafly, New Jersey 07670. CLICK HERE FOR A MAP.

FULL DAY CAMP
9am-3pm, Monday - Friday
ages 5 and up

Each session concentrates on a different composer. The week ends with a performance featuring music and scenes from the composers life and times. Students are introduced to famous works by each composer with easily recognizable arrangements. Suzuki repertoire is also performed.

Daily activities generally include Group Violin, Yoga, Crafts, Recess, Ensemble rehearsal, Script rehearsal, Note Reading and Fiddling Class and are subject to change.

Each week features a special event so that campers who participate all three weeks will have a variety of experiences. Past events have included learning to dance the minuet, electric violin workshop, demonstrations by guest violinists and student solo recitals.

9am-12pm, M-F

This camp is geared to the young violin student, ages 3-5 years. Students bring their own violins. Rental information is available. Focus is on beginning violin skills and includes skills appropriate participation in a session end concert.

OLDER BEGINNERS
This is a great place to try out the violin!
